Accessing Charts Setup (v10.xx)

Cerri Chart is a powerful built-in engine that enables the display of data - in views or documents - through easily interpretable charts. A wide range of chart types is available, providing flexibility in how data can be presented and analyzed.

Chart creation is handled through a Chart setup document, which defines the parameters of each chart. These charts are configured in the Chart tab of the "Administration and Setup" console of each Module or Database.

Cerri Chart Administration

Admins can create new charts from the setup of each database. The following chart types are available: Columns, Pie, Bar, Lines, Areas, Stacked Columns, etc..

First, you must specify a name (title) for the chart. Then you must select a view to use as the basis for the data. Note that flat views are the best choice for this purpose, as they are not categorized.

Use the action "Hide or Show Grid" to toggle the grid with data in the lower section. Use the action "Save chart" you save all the settings made for the chart.

Next, you need to:
  1. Select the chart type
  2. Choose the data to be displayed under ‘Set up’
    1. Categories refers to the x-axis
    2. Series refer to the y-axis
    3. Aggregate allows you to combine individual values into a total value (e.g. all cost documents for a project)

Under "Customize" in the Chart menu, you can make many additional settings, such as assigning titles, changing axis labels, adjusting axes, etc. The functionality is similar to that of other standard programs and is therefore largely self-explanatory.

When you open the grid with ‘Show Grid’, you can use all the available settings, such as sorting, filtering, etc., just like in a normal grid.
Please note that these settings are also saved when you save the chart and are restored when you call up the chart again.

Note: Don't forget to save the settings at the end. You can then integrate this chart either in dashboards or in the navigation as a separate item.
