Timeshift Tasks (v10.xx)

Timeshift Tasks (v10.xx)

The “Timeshift Items” feature allows you to move multiple items (phases, tasks, and milestones) from the plan simultaneously, without needing to select them one by one. While single tasks can be moved using the “Timeshift Activities” feature, “Timeshift Items” it is mainly used for moving entire projects or phases, especially when projects are postponed or when a new plan is a copy of a previous project.

Note: Only tasks without recorded actuals in Timesheets and with a status of “Stand-By” or “Requested” can be moved.

How to Timeshift
Click on the “Timeshift Items” icon   in the menu bar of the Cerri Planner.
To timeshift an entire project, either select the name of the project in the left window or click anywhere in the bar window.

To timeshift a phase, click on the specific phase.
To timeshift multiple items, select the items in the left window.
To timeshift a single item, select that item.
After making your selection, click on the "Timeshift Items" icon and select the date you want to move the items to.

Timeshift Constraints

When shifting the selected items, the start date will remain on the same day of the week. This means it is only possible to timeshift selected items by full weeks, keeping the same weekday as the first item. The relative gaps between items will stay the same.

It is not possible to move a project where the first item starts on Monday to a different weekday (e.g. Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday). While the system allows you to select ANY day of the year, the first item will always be shifted to the same weekday within the selected week. The gaps between tasks will remain unchanged.

Note:  The same rules apply when timeshifting items into the past.
