In the [Resources] module, the "Standard rates" setup document allows users to define default rates and standard activity-specific rates when "Multi-rates management" is enabled in the "General" setup document.
Definition of default rates
Managing resource rates for a large number of resources can be tedious. Cerri Project simplifies this by allowing the creation of default rates, known as "Resource rates," distinct from "Company rates" used for customer rate plans. "Resource default rates" can be defined by companies.
"Resource default rates" can be defined by companies based on the following criteria:
- Company / location
- Resource type
- Cost center
Note: Definitions by cost center and by resource type are mutually exclusive.
Note: The Company determines whether rates are driven by resource type or cost center.
Note: In default rates, the Company represents the organization the resource belongs to.
Defaults rates are accessible under the Rates tab in the Resource setup. Navigate to "Default resources rates" in the left pane.
To add a new "Default resources rates":
- Select "Create Rate"
- Fill in the form, setting the Rate type to "Resources".
- Specify the fields to setup the default rate. Currency is mandatory. Fill in rate definitions by period and activity type (if enabled).
Note: All fields but the Currency can remain blank to create a default rate that applies to all resources.
Note: Default rate definitions are not mutually exclusive. The system prioritizes the most specific definitions when applying rates to resources.
