KPI Tracking (v8.xx)

KPI Tracking (v8.xx)

The KPI Tracking document is a special type of the Generic document with a specific subform. A KPI Tracking document is generated to track performance and make sure that you stay on track to hit your KPI Target detail (KPI target at project-level). There are different ways of doing this and 3 options are available from the General setup of the 'Portfolio' database. The 'Metric capture mode' field lets you define this as follow:

  • KPI tracking document can be included in a Deliverable document. This means that the option 'On deliverables' is checked.

  • KPI tracking document can be automatically generated in the Project progress report document. This means that the option 'By month' is checked.

  • KPI tracking document can be generated by creating an 'Other document' of type 'KPI Tracking'. This means that the option 'Free' is checked.

Saving a 'KPI Tracking' document (either mode) generates the KPI Tracking Detail documents. A 'KPI Tracking Detail' document is then generated for each KPI Target detail document in the project.

Open the document and report current values.
