It is possible to initialize or reinitialize a project. This is a way to reset a project to its starting point. This is especially useful for projects that are periodically re-executed or when creating a new project or template from an existing project.

This function will browse through all of project elements - Tasks, Deliverables, Costs, and Workflows - and reinitialize them. Only the initial values will be saved.

1. Open the Project Description
   
   
2. Click "Actions" on the menu bar and select "Initialize"
   
   
   
   
   
3. A dialog box will appear to confirm the action. Choose "Yes" to proceed.
   
   
   
   
4. Enter the year for the new start. For example, if the project originally started in 2020, entering 2024 will adjust all initial project dates, setting the new project start date to January 1, 2024.
   
   
   
   

To apply changes across all Tasks and Deliverables, the Plan (Gantt chart) must be edited and saved.
