The Gates view provides a structured overview of a gate-based project.
It displays phases, gates, and tasks in a single matrix, allowing you to quickly understand project progress and review gate status.
The Gates view is only available if the following conditions are met:
the project is created from a Gate Template
the project is assigned to the correct project type
a Phase review process is defined for that project type
If these conditions are not fulfilled, the Gates view is not available in the project description.
Use the Gates view to:
understand the structure of a gate-based project
follow the progress of phases
review the status of each gate
see which tasks belong to each phase
navigate directly to phases, gates, and tasks
The Gates view is organised into a matrix with several sections.
A legend explains the status indicators used in the view.

The matrix is structured in three levels: phases, gates, and tasks.
Phases are displayed as horizontal arrows at the top of the matrix.
each phase spans a defined range of gates
the width of the phase reflects its gate range
phases are colour-coded based on status
