A task is potentially critical if there is no interval between itself and the subsequent linked task. It becomes critical when any delay would cause a delay in the overall project. Therefore, any task with a planned end date equal to the end date of the project is considered critical.

The critical path is the sequence of linked tasks with zero intervals. Clicking on the icon in the toolbar will automatically highlight all tasks and milestones in the critical path in red.
