Definition of Default Rates (v10.xx)

Definition of Default Rates (v10.xx)

When managing a large number of resources, defining and maintaining resource rates can become tedious. Default rates, referred to as Resource rates, simplify the process. These rates are distinct from Company rates, which are designed for customer rates plans. And Resource default rates can be defined by companies.

Default rates in Cerri Project can be defined based on a combination of the criteria below:

  • Company / location
  • Resource type
  • Cost center

Note 1Definitions by Cost Center and by Resource Type are mutually exclusive.

Note 2: The Company field determines whether rates are driven by Resource Type or Cost Center.

Note 3: In default rates, the Company represents the organization a resource is associated with.

Defaults rates are accessible in the Resource setup.

  1. Go to the “Rates” tab
  2. Select “Default resources rates” in the left pane

Steps to add a new default resources rate:

  • Select “Create\Rate” and fill in the form
  • Set the “Rate type” to “Resources”
  • Complete the required fields
    • Currency is mandatory.
    • Define rates by period and activity type (if enabled).

Note 1: All fields except Currency can remain blank to define a default rate that applies to all resources.

Note 2: Default rate definitions are not mutually exclusive. The system priortizes the most specific definitions when applying rates.
