Define Resource Skills (v8.xx)

Define Resource Skills (v8.xx)

Geniusproject allows you to define a list of skills for each resource. You can then search for resources based on their skill set and availability. The list of possible skills is defined in the setup of the [Resources] module.

To define a resources list of skills:

Open the resource record in edit mode.

Click the icon for the "Skills" field on the [Profile] tab.

A dialog box will open displaying the list of skills to choose from.

The list on the left contains the possible skills defined in the setup of the system, the list on the right powers assigned to the resource. Add or remove skills to the resource, by adding or removing entries in the list on the right using the arrows at the center. If the list of possible skills is very high, it is possible to filter the contents of the list by entering filter criteria in the box above the list.

Click on to validate your selections.

The resources list of skills will be displayed. It is possible to remove a skill form the list without having to re-open the dialog box; simply click on the icon that appears once you roll your mouse over a skill in the list.

Save the changes.
