Define a Project as a Template (v10.xx)

Define a Project as a Template (v10.xx)

Defining a project as a template is simple. You just need to change its status to "Template".
  1. Open the project description.
  2. Click "Edit" on the [Action] menu bar to switch to edit mode.
  3. In the project description header, change the project status to "Template".

To change the status of a project, click on the status dropdown list and select "Template". When the status of a project is modified, the data must be propagated to all documents related to the project. The propagation method depends on the Update of the project documents option found on the [Categorization] tab. Refer to this option for more details.

To create a fully functional project template, there are other points to keep in mind, such as initializing the project from a template based on a previously executed project and ensuring assignments are made to generic resources, among other factors.
