Define a Project as a Template (v10.xx)

To define a project as a template, all you need to do is set its status to "Template" by following these steps:

 

1. Open the project description.
2. Enter edit mode by clicking "Edit" on the [Action] menu bar.
3. In the header, change the project status of the project description to "Template".
   

To change the status of a project, click the status field dropdown and select "Template". After modifying the project's status, the information must be propagated to all related project documents. The propagation method depends on the "Update of the project documents" option on the [Categorization] tab. Refer to this option for more information.

To create a real project template, there are other factors to consider factors such as: whether a project is initialized from a template based on an existing project, assignments of generic resources in templates, etc.
