Create an Agile Project

This article will help you learn how to create an Agile (Kanban) project. For this purpose, you can use the Project app or the Kanban app   The Kanban app is the default application for the creation, management and control of Agile projects. It is available to each user in the system but there are two types of roles in an Agile (Kanban) project: Project manager and Team member. There is no limit to the number of users in each of these roles.   Permissions for Kanban roles are defined in the Project >> Roles and Permissions section of the Help portal: {URL to add here}   The Status flow of Kanban projects is the same as in the Project app and described in the Project >> Project statuses section of the Help portal: {URL to add here}

How to create an Agile (Kanban) project using the Project app

  • On the Home page, select the Project app or click on the Create Project button at the bottom of the page.

 

 

 

  • Select the New Project + button on the upper side of the sidebar menu

 

 

  • Select the Agile (Kanban) project type at the top of the New Project page. 
  • Fill the Enter Project Name field
  • Define the Start and End dates
  • Add a Project description (not required)
  • Define Who is working on this project? (not required)
  • Select a Project status (not required) and click on the Create a New Project button.

 

How to create an Agile (Kanban) project using the Kanban app

  • Select the Kanban app icon   on the upper side of the Home page or the sidebar menu.

 

 

  • Click on the New Project + button on the All Agile Projects page

 

 

 

  • Fill the Enter Project Name field
  • Define the Start and End dates
  • Add a Project description (not required)
  • Define Who is working on this project? (not required)
  • Select a Project status (not required) and click on the Create a New Project button.

 

 

The Kanban board page contains 

  • The Project name (editable), 

 

 

  • The Project ID (assigned by default, cannot be edited), 

 

 

  • The Project status (In Progress by default, but can be modified from the dropdown menu), 

 

 

  • The Project owner icon and members of the project, 

 

 

  • the Add member icon, 

 

 

  • Default columns: To do, Doing, Done (editable). 

 

 

The default columns To do, Doing, and Done, are created for organizing the Kanban Task cards by execution status. The number of tasks is displayed next to the column name. To the right: the number of hours planned / hours reported are displayed by the clock icon

Click on the Three dots icon   on the upper right corner to show/hide completed tasks.

 

 

  • Select the Delete option if you wish to delete the project. The project can only be deleted if there is no reported time on it.

 

 

  • Click on Back to all projects to return to the All projects page.
