Skills

Skills are used to categorize Human resources in the Resource App.  This article will help you learn how to add, name, edit and delete a skill.

How to add a Skill

To add a Skill description to a Human resource that is a part of your Company

  • Select the Company Settings/Skills link;

 

 

  • Click on the Add Skill button;

 

 

  • Enter the required Skill name;
  • Click on the Add button.

 

How to edit a Skill

To edit a skill:

  • Select the Company Settings/Skills link;

 

 

  • Select the skill you wish to edit

 

 

  • Select the Edit icon that appears on the right;

 

 

  • Enter the desired new data;

 

 

  • Click the Save button.

 

How to delete a Skill

  • Select the Company Settings/Skills link;
  • Select the skill you wish to delete;
  • Select the Delete icon that appears on the right. 

 

 

 

If any Human resource is connected to a Skill, it cannot be deleted.

If no Human resource is connected to a Skill, it will be deleted.

An error message will appear when you attempt to delete a Skill that is connected to a Human resource:  “Skill is assigned to resource.”

Linking a skill to a human resource

Skills descriptions created in the Settings section are available in the skills description list to create/update the Human resource popup. You can link any of them with any Human resource. (optional) 

 

To add the Skill description for the Human resource popup:

  • Choose the Skills field on the Human resource popup
  • Start typing the name of the Skill or select it in the dropdown menu
  • Click the Save button.
