Intro to Calendar

If you have synchronized your calendar with Outlook or Google you will have a global view of your commitments and workload.

 

Learn how to navigate the different views offered by the Calendar App to stay on top of your schedule and deadlines.

How to search tasks for scheduling

By default, your task list appears in full on the left of the Calendar App screen.

 

To find a task or tasks you want to schedule you have different options:

  • If you are looking for a specific task you can directly search for the name by entering it in the Add task name search bar

  • If you are looking for tasks by the due date you can filter tasks by their deadline category by clicking All Tasks and selecting from the popup menu: All tasks, Act on today, Due today, Act on in the next week, Due this week, Act on in the next month or Due this month.

How to navigate calendar views

Different calendar views are available so you can select the view you need or prefer.

Learn how to change between week view and day view  

  • By default you will be in Week view mode

  • To change to Day view, click on the ‘D’ next to By Week at the bottom right corner

  • To change back to Week view, click on the ‘W’ that will now appear next to By Day

Learn how to view a specific date/week

  • Click on the arrow pointing down by the date(s) and select the date you wish to view.

  • If in Day view mode, the chosen day will open alone on the screen

  • If in Week view mode, the week encompassing the chosen date will open on the screen

Learn how to return to today’s view

  • Click on Today at the bottom of the screen and you will automatically go back to the current day’s view

  • The Today button will only appear when you are on a different day or week (depending on view mode)

  • If in Day view mode, the chosen day will open alone on the screen

  • If in Week view mode, the week encompassing the chosen date will open on the screen

Learn how to quickly go to the next or previous day/week

  • Click on the arrow pointing right at the bottom of the screen to go forward in time to the next day or week ((depending on view mode)

  • Click on the arrow pointing left at the bottom of the screen to go forward in time to the next day or week ((depending on view mode)

  • Repeat as needed
