Learn how to use Cerri’s Google plug-in to convert emails into tasks and to store email attachments as files.

How to setup the Google plug-in

  • Click on your Avatar in top right hand corner of your Cerri screen

  • Go to Edit Profile

  • Click on Apps & Plugins in the upper menu.

  • Scroll down to Plugins & Extensions

  • Click on Get next to Cerri Chrome extension for Gmail

  • Click Add to Chrome on the page you are redirected to

Convert an email into a task

  • Take an existing email and send it to Cerri as a personal or assigned task; select a project, set the due date and if applicable, choose who it should be assigned to.

    • Select the Email you would like to convert into a task

    • Click on the Cerri Plugin at the top of your email inbox

    • Click on Convert Email to Task

  • The email subject will become the Task Name (you have the option to edit this field)

  • The email content will become the Task Description

  • Select the Project using the drop down menu

  • Set a Due Date

  • Type the assignee’s name in the Assign To field, if applicable (please note, the name will only appear in this field if they are members of the project)

  • Check Add to Calendar to add the task to your calendar

  • Click Add Task to send this task to Cerri

Store email attachments as files

Store email attachments directly to projects in Cerri

  • Select the Email you would like to convert into a file

  • Click on the Cerri Plugin at the top of your email inbox

  • Click on Save Files

  • Select the Project to which you want to store the file(s)

  • Select the Category of files to store these attachments

  • Select the Attachment(s) to store as file(s)

  • Press Save to see the files in the selected project’s File category

Store an email as a file

Store emails directly to projects in Cerri

  • Select the Email you would like to convert into a file

  • Click on the Cerri Plugin

  • Click on Save Email

  • Select the Project to store the email in

  • Press Save to see the email in the Email category of the project folder in Cerri

Create a task

  • Create a task directly from your Gmail inbox

    • Click on the Cerri plugin at the top of your email inbox

  • Fill in the Task Name

  • Select the Project using the drop-down menu

  • Set a Due Date

  • Type the assignee’s name in the Assign To field, if applicable

  • Add a Description

  • Add to Calendar

  • Add Attachments, if applicable

  • Click Add Task to create the task which will appear in your Cerri environment

A two-way synchronization will allow you to see events from your Google calendar in your Cerri calendar and vice versa.

How to synchronize your Google and Cerri calendars

  • Click on your Avatar in top right hand corner of your Cerri screen
  • Go to Edit Profile

  • Click on Apps & Plugins in the upper menu.

  • Scroll down to Calendar synchronization

  • Click on Connect next to the Google logo

  • Click on Apps & Plugins in the upper menu.

  • Scroll down to Calendar synchronization

  • Click on Stop synchronization next to the Google logo

Link Google files to your Cerri projects and tasks so all your project data is centralised and accessible from one platform.

How to attach your Google Drive files to your Cerri projects

  • When in Project App, select the project you want to add a file to

  • Go to the Files category on the left menu

  • Click on the link icon on the upper left corner of the Upload area

  • Enter a title for the file as will appear in Cerri

  • Paste the shareable link of the desired Google file

  • Click Add Link to have your Google file stored and accessible within your Cerri project

How to attach your Google Drive files to your Cerri tasks

  • Open the Task card of the task you want to add a file to

  • Click on the green paperclip icon button at the bottom left of the task card

  • From the pop up selection click on Add a file from a link

  • Enter a title for the file as will appear in Cerri

  • Paste the shareable link of the desired Google file

  • Click Add Link to have your Google file stored and accessible within your Cerri task and accessible in the Files category of the corresponding project.
