How to create default file categories

Learn how to add & delete default file categories as an Admin user.

Permission Based Feature

In order to create file categories you have to be an Admin user.

Add Default File Categories

Note: Adding default admin categories will take time to process and appear.

  • Go to Central App
  • Click on your Avatar in the top right-hand corner
  • Turn on Admin Display (green arrow will appear)
  • Click on File Categories in the left-hand menu
  • Click + Add File Category in main screen
  • Name the File Category (ex: “Reports”)
  • This file category will appear in All Projects

Remove Default File Categories

Note: Deleting default admin categories will take time to process and disappear.

  • Go to Central App
  • Click on your Avatar in the top right-hand corner
  • Turn on Admin Display (green arrow will appear)
  • Click on File Categories in the left-hand menu
  • Right Click on the File Category
  • Select Delete 
  • Confirm Delete
